Process:
Kill steel, the primary melting process is an open hearth, basic oxygen or electric furnace, which may be combined with separate degassing or refining.
Casting or casting billet cast steel is permitted.
Thermal-finished tubes do not need heat treatment.
The cold drawn tube shall be heat treated after the final cooling.
Special instructions to the customer: due to the changes in A106 and SA106, please indicate whether you need SA106 in your purchase order. Please refer to the chemical changes allowed on the S/A106 specification sheet.
Please note that ASTM International, formerly known as the American testing and materials association (ASTM), has not agreed on the specification for the BME seamless pressure pipeline. Now the ASTM A106 B and ASME SA 106 B are different in size.
