The heat treatment process document is compiled, proofread and approved for implementation, and it is the “production regulation”. The operator must strictly follow the process documents, and must not change the equipment, fixtures, loading capacity and process parameters without approval; the production manager performs production preparations, prepares operation plans and arranges equipment maintenance according to the plan, and has no right to change the process documents The inspection personnel shall carry out inspections in accordance with the provisions of the process documents, including inspection methods, inspection parts, sampling quantity and instruments or tools used; the process personnel and the inspection personnel shall supervise the implementation of the process documents in pairs.

(1) Heat treatment process specification The heat treatment process specification is a criterion that each heat treatment process must abide by, and its basic form is a heat treatment process card. It is a regulatory document that operators must comply with, and its basic contents are as follows:

1) Workpiece overview: Name and number of forgings, material grades, weight, outline dimensions and heat treatment related dimensions, process routes, etc.
2) Technical requirements for heat treatment: the quality acceptance index after the completion of the heat treatment process. Heat treatment process The technical requirements on the card are more detailed and specific than the heat treatment technical requirements on the drawings. For example, after the chemical heat treatment of the parts, the grinding process must be performed. The depth of the hardened layer on the heat treatment process card should be added to the grinding amount.

3) Workpiece sketch: draw a sketch of forging on the process card, which is convenient for identification and checking of the work piece, and at the same time, the local heat treatment and hardness inspection parts are also clear at a glance.
4) Furnace installation method and quantity.
5) Name and number of equipment and tooling.
6) Process parameters: including holding time, cooling method, quenching medium, etc. For chemical heat treatment, carbon potential, nitrogen potential, and flow rate of active medium are also involved.
7) The content, inspection method and random inspection rate of quality inspection.
