2 inch black pipe steel tubes
SPECIFICATIONS

If the pipes are placed in highly corrosive conditions, they often last from 50 to 100 years. Black steel pipes are more likely to erode than galvanized pipes and for this reason, they tend to be used for transporting gas while galvanized pipes for carrying water.

What is black steel pipe used for?
Black steel piping is mainly used to carry gas into commercial buildings. This pipe is seamless, and this makes it perfect for carrying gas. Also, this pipe is more fireproof than carbon steel piping. Therefore it is also used in fire sprinkler systems. What kind of steel is black pipe?
Black iron pipe is actually made of a low-grade "mild steel" compound. This gives it much better corrosion resistance than traditional cast iron piping. There are few standards that all black iron pipes adhere to. However, they are all made to handle natural and propane gas, which usually stay below 60psi.
Difference between carbon steel and black steel?
One of the main differences between carbon steel and black steel is that carbon steel piping and carbon steel pipe fitting are susceptible to corrosion. Black steel piping, on the other hand, is made from non-galvanized steel and is not susceptible to corrosion.
