What is a pipe schedule?

A pipe schedule (SCH) is a measurement of the nominal wall thickness of a steel pipe. Steel pipes are now available in 14 distinct schedules, Scheduled 40 is most widely utilized.

What is the meaning of schedule 40 in a pipe?

The American National Standards Institute has standardized pipe wall thicknesses for different applications. These include Sch10, Sch20, Sch30, Sch40, Sch60, Sch80, Sch100, Sch120, Sch140, Sch160 ten levels. Schedule 40 in a pipe indicates tensile strength, 40 kg pressure. It is indicated through standard thickness of 4.0mm. Schedule 40 is the most common pipe thickness used in construction work. This standard offers an ideal balance between cost, strength, and ease of installation.
Schedule 80 or Schedule 160 piping may be required if the piping is exposed or if high temperature or high pressure water or gas needs to be transported. Schedule 10 is reserved for light applications.

What is schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe?

Galvanized steel pipe is welded steel pipe with hot dip coating or electric galvanized layer on the surface. Galvanizing can increase the corrosion resistance of steel pipes and prolong the service life. Galvanized steel pipe uses is very wide, in addition to a general low pressure fluid such as water, gas, oil line pipe, also used as oil industry, especially the ocean oil field oil well pipe, oil pipe, chemical coking equipment of oil heater, the condensing, exchange of coal distillation wash oil cooler for pipe, and trestle pile, mining tunnel supporting frame pipe, etc.
Schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe is the most prevalent pipe schedule. It’s widely used in construction, steel structure, machinery etc. It creates a good pipe due to its versatility and performance strength. we can produce as per international standards. Our pipes are popluar among customers in the world for their qualith and reasonable price.
