1.What do you know about the carbon steel seamless pipe specification?

The carbon steel seamless pipe is specially used for the transportation of liquid including oil, nature gas, chemical industry, water project and so on. Seamless pipe is usually produced by hot rolling process, the sizes range commonly from 88.9mm to 323.9mm, sometimes the max outside can reach to 457mm and the wall thickness range is from 5mm to 33mm. Outside diameter 114.3mm to 355.6mm, wall thickness STD/ SCH40 to SCH160 are most commonly purchased. There is one material of the carbon steel pipe very popular that is ASTM A106 which involves three grades A, B and C.

2.Schedule 40 seamless carbon steel pipe

1.Seamless carbon steel pipe ASTM A106 is belong to American standard material, in which the wall thickness generally described by pipe schedule. Same as other standard of pipes there are also many types of wall thickness in ASTM A106, including SCH10, SCH20, SCH30, STD, SCH40, SCH60, XS, SCH80, SCH100, SCH120, SCH160 and XXS. In these thicknesses, SCH40 is the most common. The wall thickness in mm of Schedule 40 seamless carbon steel pipe is same as STD for some sizes. Please see the below table.
