Eccentric swage
The swage is a kind of pipe fittings, and is divided into a concentric swage and eccentric swage. The connection form of the eccentric swage is to directly weld the swage to the steel pipe. The raw materials are carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel.The eccentric swage is a kind of pipe fittings used for the pipe diameter reduction. The forming process usually adopts the reduction diameter pressing, the expansion diameter pressing or the reduction diameter and the expansion diameter pressing. For some specifications, the different diameter pipe can also be formed by press forming.
In addition to the use of steel pipes as raw materials for the production of swages, eccentric swages can also be produced by stamping process for some sizes of reducers. The shape of the die used for drawing is designed with reference to the inner surface dimensions of the reducer. After the blanking, the steel plate is stamped and stretched.
The reduction forming process of the eccentric swage is to put the tube blank equal to the diameter of the large end of the reducer into the forming die, and to move the metal along the cavity and shrink and form by pressing along the axial direction of the blank. The diameter of the pipe is divided into one press forming or multiple press forming.
The eccentric swage is characterized by carbon steel with significantly higher strength than the same carbon. It has good toughness and plasticity as well as good weldability and corrosion resistance.
Application
1. When the flow rate of the fluid in the pipeline changes, such as increasing or decreasing, the flow rate requirement does not change much, and the reducer is required.
2. At the inlet of the pump, in order to prevent cavitation, a reducer is required.
3. With the instrument, such as the flow meter, the connection of the regulating valve, in order to cooperate with the joint of the instrument, a different diameter pipe is also required.
